Introduction
This policy outlines the conditions under which a holder of a valid registered Companion Card (the "Cardholder") may gain free or discounted admission for their carer/companion to our strawberry fields. This policy is designed to ensure that all our customers, including those who require assistance, can enjoy a pleasant and safe experience at our farm.
Policy Statement
We recognise the importance of providing equal access to our services and facilities. While our business is not a registered Companion Card program affiliate, we are supportive of its aims of allowing those with a disability and lifelong need for attended care support to participate in community activities and attend venues.
By entering our strawberry fields, you agree to abide by this and our other policies. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Scope
This policy applies to all Cardholders, their carers/companions, and persons visiting our ‘Pick Your Own’ strawberry fields at 912 Chambers Flat Rd, Chambers Flat QLD 4133 from 06 August 2023.
Policy Guidelines
1. Free Admission for carer/companion
A Cardholder is entitled to one free admission for one (1) carer/companion upon presentation of a valid Companion Card when purchasing admission and before entry onto our fields. The carer/companion is admitted free of charge for the sole purpose of assisting the Cardholder to picking strawberries. The Cardholder is still required to pay for their own admission/punnet.
2. Issuance of Punnet
The carer/companion will not be issued a punnet. Punnets are only provided to paying customers.
3. Consumption and Removal of Produce
The carer/companion is not permitted to consume or remove any strawberries or other produce from the field. This restriction is in place to ensure fairness and maintain the sustainability of our farm.
4. Non-Compliance
Any person (including Cardholder or carer/companion) found to be in violation of this policy may be asked to leave the premises immediately, and future access may be restricted or denied.
Policy Review
This policy will be reviewed at least annually to ensure it continues to meet the needs of our customers, our business, and aligns with the Companion Card program guidelines.
